So I was listening to my jams getting into the groove of my weight training program at the YMCA when I was so rudely interrupted by a middle-aged man, who seemed to me was a social butterfly and a little on the heavier side. He was trying to tell/show me how to do a bicep curl...ME! You gotta be kidding me. I am a trainer for Pete's sake. To be brutally honest, I am more fit than most guys at the gym...eek. I know how to do them properly. I think he was "trying" to help or flirt when REALLY he was breaking down my concentration and focus. I am all about focus in my workouts. I am in the zone. The ONLY person I concentrate on is...well...ME!. That just drives me nuts. Leave me alone...gaaah.
So the Zellers on Henderson is closing for business. Sad I know but with that comes discounts galore. I got a cute school girl long sleeved sweater for 5 bucks. I also got...drum roll please...MC Hammer pants lol. They are so comfy. It is not even funny how much I just adore wearing these pants. ONLY $4. I know! Crazy. I got a wicked deal on vitamins (50% off at all Zellers). I stocked up on B100 Complex (all the b vitamins), CoQ10, and Niacine. If you guys don't know what those are just look it up. All are great for the mind, body and soul....BUT the following day.....
....one of the vitamins gave me an allergic reaction!!!!
So I take my stack at the same time each day, which is when I wake up in the morning. With my regular stack, I included the 3 new vitamins. About 30 minutes later, I found my skin to be really irritated and my whole body felt warm. I looked down at my skin and what did I see but goosebumps. I wasn't even cold. I looked in the mirror to find a cherry red face. Now silly kimmy, she doesn't even know which of the vitamins gave her that reaction and is too nervous to try it out again anytime soon. So for now, the bottles are gonna collect dust until I am off my fat burner, which is what I think is the problem. Oh how sad as I was so excited about these babies. I will attempt sometime soon and let you in on my condition. I just hope I don't end up looking like another itchy, red monster.

Let It Marinade!!!
So the other day, I was "allowed" (if you read earlier, you know what I mean LOL) to try Purus Labs Muscle Marinade in Purus Punch sold exclusively at Muscle's By Meyers located on William Avenue Boy, let me tell you....the best pre-workout I've ever had.
Taste: 10
Focus/Concentration: 10
Price: 7
Have you ever tried Tang before as a kid? Well in my opinion that's pretty much what Purus Punch tastes like. No more chugging down intolerable tasting pre-workout formulas. This is definitely a keeper in my eyes. Just plain ol' delicious. Took this baby and immediately headed to the gym. This pre-workout is the KING of all kings. I felt even more focused than when I had taken the 1MR (earlier post of the review). Don't get me wrong, I still adore both pre-workouts. But with this, I just wanted to do more and more...and yes...more. Now if you aren't stingy with your dollars, then this is definitely one container to pick up and try.
.....and all the gym rats lived happily ever after. The End.

Lather, Rinse & Repeat
Woke up and immediately drove myself to the YMCA Downtown. It was leg today (love it!) and I was super pumped. Did 4 exercises (lunges, squats, leg extension and flutterkicks on the ball). After I finished, I decided to do some core work as well. So I did another 4 exercises (pulsating leg raises, jack knives, crunch on cross-over, and ball pull-ins). On top of all that, I did interval training on the treadmill for 16 minutes. Did what I normally do after my workout, which is shower. I hate when the showers are busy. I was lathering myself up knowing full on that there were a couple of people staring. There is never a time when this doesn't happen. Just ask Sam...haha. He's got a great story. But it never fails. Err mind your own business. That all happened at 9 am in the morning.
Decided to head back to the gym in the evening around 7 pm. With that, I had to "clean" my clothes aka using my trusty friend in a bottle..."Febreeze" lol. A little spritz here and little spritz there. Done! I know I'm sick. I don't care what you think lol. I was thinking I'd go back just for some light cardio...or so I thought. This is what happens in Kimmy's brain: I get to the gym thinking "yes, I am here to ONLY do cardio...that's it" but what ends up happening is this "...but I'm itching to pick up some weights like everyone else. What to do? What to do?" . I did do cardio around the track at first. But what DID I do? I'm sure you guessed it already. Yep...I picked up some iron. I couldn't help it. Sorry body. Waited around for a friend, who was supposed to show up for a practice but I left the weight area. He was taking too darn long. You know who you are. Sorry buddy. Again, I showered. And again, the starers were there. Ahh leave me alone lol.
After all that, I got to use my culinary skills in the kitchen and made Vegetable Curry with Squash with Sam. I haven't done this in such a long time. The whole process of making something from scratch: washing and cutting each veggie...again and again and again. I miss this. Mind you, we went a little overboard on the veggies but that's okay. Veggies are good for you anyways. Click the link for the recipe. Vegetable Curry with Squash Yum!!! It was super tasty and spicy. I heart ALL curry dishes as a matter of fact.
I also did a homemade salad dressing for the salad. It was in a 2007 issue of "Prevention Magazine" but I had made a dressing from scratch years ago that was somewhat similar to this.
Here it is with my little additions:
2 tbsp EVOO (extra virgin olive oil)
2 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp white vinegar
1 tbsp green onions
1 tsp sugar (I used Stevia of course)
1 tsp of minced garlic
1/2 tsp salt (I used No Salt Salt Substitute)
1/2 tsp black pepper
Pull all those ingredients in a small leak-proof container and shake-shake-shake-shake it baby.
Pour over your salad and PRESTO, you've got yourself an amazing dressing.
It's so nice and so very healthy...the way it should always be!!!

One More Rep
Today's work out was just INSANE. I got a sample of a pre-workout called 1MR in Orange by BPI Sports from Muscles by Meyers on 483 William Avenue & Isabel. Side note: Go visit those guys. They are the best at what they do. *muah
Here is the description from BPI Sports:
1MR™ - “One More Rep” - A Heavily Concentrated Mind Blowing Dose of Energy, Vascularity, and Strength. An unrelenting rush of synergistic ingredients powered to make every workout your best, every workout your strongest, every workout your show and tell. Go ahead make everyone stare. 1MR™ is what separates you from everyone else. It’s what makes every muscle stronger, every vein wider, and every rep shorter. Pack on 100 miles per hour of energy and maybe, just maybe you have what it takes. This is a non-stop energy driven formula. It will get you to the gym faster, make your workouts shorter, and ultimately make you the architect of your own reflection.
I've only had beta alanine, which for me, just induced the "creepy-crawler-under-your-skin" feeling. If you do not know what a pre-workout is here is the jist. It is a supplement (in either pill or powdered form) taken prior to working out to give you a little boost to go the extra mile when your energy levels are low. This will most definitely aid in that.
I was definitely pushing it to the limits today. I found I was really focused to the point where I may have over-trained by doing 2 more exercises than my workout plan stated for my tricep/back day. Over-training=bad. Yes I know. Still, I highly recommend it to anyone who works out. This stuff is amazing. I just couldn't help it if I did over-train. Sorry muscles. I'll be nicer tomorrow. I swear.
Muscle Marinade by Purus Labs is another amazing pre-workout in which I've heard great things by users. Some say the best pre-workout on the market. But "someone" won't let me try it...*ahem Sam....What a bugger! I'll get my own sample then :p
I did the maximum amount of reps (12) for all my exercises (6) with 4 sets each. I know it sounds quite intense, but if only you knew how I felt...then you would understand fully. I could of swore I listened to "Crazy In Love" by Beyonce 6 times in a row while weight training. It really got me going. Yes I do know it isn't really a workout song but it just makes me want to dance. Me and her are like "this" (fingers crossed).
I also did HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) on the treadmill today with a 2 minute jog-2 minute sprint. Still feeling the pre-workout in my system, I finished off my 16 minute HIIT with a 2 minute jog-4 minute sprint instead. I kept on reminding myself of things while training like: "You can do this. Keep moving." Weird right? But it really did get me motivated to give that same intensity throughout the entire workout. Afterward, I was perspiring so much, beads of sweat were falling down onto the treads. Kinda gross...I know. Really, I was just trying to oil the machine :D
So to sum it up, BUY UP THIS STUFF at Meyers. You won't regret it. And if you don't like it, give it to me. I'll take it off your hands. MINE.

"Can You Break My Change?"
I am a huge believer in change. After all, change is good. If we do not change, then we do not evolve as a human-beings. Whether it be a good change or a bad one, "change is inevitable."
Many things in my life are different as of last year, which I will not list off because I would most definitely take up much more internet space then necessary. There were many....and I repeat MANY ups & downs along the way but in my journey I've met some great and inspiring people; people who also inspire myself to achieve the best form of ME, not only in the physical but in every aspect of life. I found even one little tidbit of advice from someone can easily transform you...making you see things in a different light. But with that being said, with everything comes a price. Not everyone is going to like change....either learn to adopt or get the fudge out of here. The people who you want surrounding you are the ones who can support and at least try to understand what you are trying to accomplish; not judge, ridicule or criticize your crazy notions. To be optimally successful, a good support base is key.
The one thing I will mention about my personal changes and one that is the most obvious is my physique. Being about 40 pounds lighter, there are the obvious changes in body composition. Once you start shedding pounds, along comes an increase in self-confidence. They go hand-in-hand. Mind you, I have a bit of a self-confidence complex which comes and goes but who doesn't after being overweight for such a long period of my life. It's only natural to feel like "that big girl" every once in awhile.
_________________________________________
Not too sure if I had mentioned in a previous post, but come October is when my off season is going to start aka I GET TO EAT "NORMALLY" AGAIN. Whoop-De-Doo!!! Normal for me is getting to add more carbs therefore gaining back weight. Ya, that part...not so thrilling. So I really get 2 months to "get fat" before I start transforming my body in tip top shape for the Novice competition come March. Eek!!!

So my mom, being very generous, empties her coin purse in front of me and says "take what you want." All I see are twoonies, loonies and quarters. So I go ahead and take a good handful. When I finally manage the time to count it, the sum of the change comes out to $70 plus dollars. Isn't that just ridonkulous? I ended up using it at Sports Chek swearing to the cashier I didn't break my piggy bank for the new gym bag, which I absolutely adore. It is the most beautiful thing I've ever laid my eyes on in a long time. Yes I know it's so silly to be THIS excited about a gym bag. Just let me be...hehe. I heart you New Nike bag. *Muah
I have a couple of new developments coming about. One of which has to do with my logo designing (new client). Woot! But the other stuff...at this time my loyal fans, I cannot disclose. All I can say is it'll be a VERY good change for me and my future.

Wake up in the morning feeling not like P.Diddy....
I was so frickin' exhausted when I woke. This is what I get for late nights (4 am-ers) at the club with my buddies. Woke up around 12:00 pm...yep already the afternoon. My whole morning is Gone, Gone, Gone. I hate when that happens because what ends up happening is I become ULTRA LAZY GIRL. Ultra Lazy Girl to the rescue or not ;D
Now we all know sleep is important but do you really know HOW important it is? I admit, I do have to 'practice what I preach' with my crazy weekends of party-party but as I said these things take time and will need to change once I start my hardcore season come January.
For one thing, it is important for your health and well-being. Secondly, it is HUGELY important when you are working out. Why you ask? Well let me tell you. Some people have the mentality of when you workout is when you build. When in fact, the time you actually let you body to rest is when it develops and grows. When you workout, you are basically "ripping" your muscle tissue. There are obviously foods and protein to help rebuild but if you are not getting enough sleep your body cannot repair it and recover for your next workout. With that being said, it is preferable to get approximately 8 hours of sleep, 6 at the least, which I did get last night but WOW my internal clock and sleeping pattern is gonna be messed up for tomorrow. Boourns.
______________________________________________________
So lately, I have been having these hardcore power naps. What feels like an hour or so, turns out to only be 20-30 minutes. It's crazy. Insert "Inception" reference here ---> Maybe I am in a dream, within a dream, within a dream. I'm not too sure what I am doing differently. Never in my life have I had a power nap. It is just something so new to me. I happen to think that it's kinda cool and hope it continues. I like knowing I haven't wasted a whole evening. Ya know?
It is 4:30 pm (taking me forever to finish this post because I'm doing a lot of things ATM) and it just looks absolutely dreadful outside right now. It makes me feel kinda sad, sleepy and lazy. I don't like it one bit..no sir. And for some weird reason, the weather is making me drum up old feelings of the past. Do not even get me started. The end.
The temperature in the city is slowly dropping. And you all know what that means right ?
FALL IS COMING. MOMMA NO!!! Get out your sweaters, leggings and boots ladies & gentleman. Okay, maybe not leggings for the guys. That would just weird...haha. And to think, just last week I was dying of the extreme heat with our +35 temperatures: Longing for a store to pop into with air conditioning. All I want is for it to come back, is that too much to ask?
Now to find my favourite sweater dress and fuzzy slippers. Maybe I'll take a nap. Ssshhhh now. I'm trying to sleep. ZzZzZzZzzzzz....

1, 2, 3 Cheese
So it turns out my buddy Mirah is able to do a photo session with me this coming Thursday, August 19th, which is exactly a week from today. Eek. How do you even prepare for one? I really do not know. Now to spend a ridiculous amount of time in front of the mirror practicing my Blue Steel (Zoolander). She suggested we do a shoot outside of the city. I got no clue where to go though. Maybe Bird's Hill Park or Lockport. I'm just hoping it doesn't rain. Mother Nature, please be nice. We don't want a wet t-shirt contest or anything...hehe. I'm not quite ready for my close-up Ms.Camerawoman, but by next week I sure hope so. Say Cheese.
So I went to Vita Health and to my surprise...the most amazing thing ever did I see: Imitation Cream Cheese. I heart cream cheese. So good with everything. Next step, trying to incorporate it into my diet, which will be soon as I need more carbs in my diet with the dodgeball season coming up. Yum bagels with cream cheese. I cannot wait!!! There are just so many healthier options these days but not a lot of people know of them. It's like a constant search. It's fun for me and for you, my readers. Stay tuned for more "Options". Hmm ya okay I've just now decided to make a weekly blurb about that or whenever I get a chance. Done & done.
I just want to make a little shout out to all my friends and family who have supported me and still continue to support me through my journey. You guys are so great. You are the reason as to why I started up this publicly viewable blog. You say, I do. You are there for me when I stumble. Never judge me or my crazy diet and gym routine. But really...thank you also for the great compliments and feedback. I get so super cheesed whenever I read them. This is me -----> :D
AND FOR ALL YOU HATERS OUT THERE (oh you know who you are), bugger off and go find someone else to judge and criticize. I'm Happy. Let me be. I'm gonna do ME.
'Til next time, keep fat and have fun (says Kevin Duong)...oops I mean keep fit. hehe

"I'm Focused Man" - Jay-Z
So the main reason people go to the gym is to work out. That should be the only reason right? Well apparently not for everyone. In my opinion, from what I can see, the gym is sometimes a cesspool of individuals (mostly guys) who want to scoop out the opposite sex and socialize, therefore taking gym time away from others and yourself. It's so ridiculous. Do not get me wrong, there are plenty of hardcores but you can always spot the troublemakers a mile away. You can almost sniff 'em out. Reality check: Trying to look cool at the gym in fact makes you look stupid. Just sayin'
So here are some things you should think about:
Do not wear shades. It isn't sunny INSIDE.
Don't bring your tv-boombox. It's not a party.
Leave the gangsta big ass chains at home. We ain't in the Bronx.
Ladies, put your makeup on AFTER your workout, not before.
Please save kissing and hugging for the bedroom. No one wants to see that stuff. No one!!!
Do not give those particular people the attention they are longing for. This comment is for you..."person-at-the-gym-who-lifts-his-shirt-up-in-front-of-mirror-to-look-at-yourself" guy. You look like a 'tard. Stop worrying about what others think and focus on your own self for self-improvement. Try your hardest to concentrate 100% on the task at hand. I find what helps for me is to occasionally close my eyes to refocus....so nothing distracts me.
Another great tip to remember is by focusing (squeezing) on the actual muscle you're targeting, you will most definitely get more out of it and in-turn make the muscles work at their fullest potential, opposed to just doing the motion of the exercise (up-down or side-to-side).
So to finish off my rant, please people just focus on yourself and not others. It makes for a happier environment "for you and for me and the entire human race" (Michael Jackson).
Straighten Out...Geez
Today was leg day. It has absolutely got to be one of my favourite days because I gotta say I'm becoming a fan of my own legs...haha. The definition is finally coming in. I can vaguely see the separation of the Quads, as well as lines I've never seen before in my life. It's such a neat thing...to see yourself in the mirror and say "Hey You. That looks new." Guaranteed to put a smile on anyone's face. That sense of accomplishment is definitely there.
But with that being said, I made a tiny mistake during my wide stance dumbbell squats. I was locking my knees occasionally when I came up to straighten my legs from the squat. Big no-no Kimbo! You never really want to lock any of your joints when doing exercise. You could injury yourself. Luckily, as of now, I'm not feeling any pain. Stay tuned though. That soon may change.
One of the things I have been working on for the last 3 months is keeping my posture straight. It is something that everyone should encompass. You can also do exercises that focus on the upper back and shoulders to build & strengthen muscles. It definitely makes a huge difference compared to a person with bad posture. Someone who actually is 140lbs could easily be mistaken for 150lbs...just by bad posture alone. You will look more confident and self-assured. Everyone wants to portray that....I'm sure.
So practice this for your homework folks (even when working out): pull them shoulders back, elongate the neck, stick that chest out and pull that tummy in.

Yum..."Real" Food!!!
So I found this at Superstore yesterday and wanted to give it a shot: an Advanced Carb & Fat Blocker by Jamieson Natural Sources, which claims it is for use "after" over-indulgence in fatty, greasy, rich foods and needs to be taken 30-60 minutes beforehand. So yet another experiment in Kimmy's lab aka the kitchen.
So yesterday, I indulged in 6 cheddar potato perogies, 2 M&M Meat Shops Maple Salmon Skewers, and one whole grain tortilla chip with salsa. This is what I call "my over-indulgence". I'm sure some of you would disagree but I didn't want to go too crazy if it didn't work. It was so nice to have "real" food again in my system after weeks being on a strict nutritional plan. I even had ketchup & BBQ sauce with the perogies!! It felt so darn good. YES CARBS...oh how I love thee. Let me count the ways.
Conclusions of experiment: After testing the product yesterday, I weighed myself on the Tanita scale mid-day today at 133 lbs with 14.5% body fat and 61% hydration. This meaning that some of the carbs did absorb in my body, hence the slight increase in weight. The fat in the foods I ate yesterday did not get absorbed so it would seem as my body fat has never reached that low of a level, which has to do with the key ingredient of white kidney beans. White kidney beans make you poop, so says Wikipedia.org, which is probably where the fat went. Ya for me!
To recommend or not recommend....that is the question: It worked for me but mind you I eat clean regularly on a strict nutritional plan with moderate to vigorous exercise. I will however say this: try it for yourself and tell me how it goes. I definitely need to conduct another experiment on this since there were different variables at play.

I saw Joe earlier on in the afternoon and he was so out of it...very zombie-like. I had to make sure I really watched what I said when I was with him. The last thing I wanted was for him to get mad at me. He looked so depressed and sad. That is what the lack of carbs does to a person. He wanted to go treat himself at a restaurant, so the last 3 days his caloric intake was diminishing day by day. So we went to The Round Table with him and the Roomies for his first carb load in 2 weeks. When he received his meal and had his first bite, I could already tell he was feeling 100 times better. It was great seeing him happy again.
It is always nice to treat yourself every once in awhile. Just do not over do it. There are a lot of sacrifices one needs to make when trying to achieve their goals. But having a great support system (friends & family)....people who understand and respect what you are doing is one of the steps to reaching that goal. And just forget about the people who tease and make fun. They are really just envious of your determination and willpower. I kid you not.
There is never an easy way out. There is no miracle drug that is going to make you get to where you need to be by doing absolutely NOTHING.
With anything in life, hard work and dedication is what it takes to be successful.

Yogi's In Da House
Having went to bed at 4:00 am in the morning, you can only imagine the exhaustion I felt when I was awakened by my alarm clock at 9:30am to get ready for yoga at Assiniboine Park. My body was achy from the non-stop dancing last night at Republic Nightclub, which was crazy fun.
Quickly got ready, met Char nearby and hurried our way to the park so we could get a decent spot. It was a little cloudy at first but boy did the sun ever give it to us good. I was sweating lots, which means pretty much everyone else was too. My yoga mat was even glistening a tad bit. It was quite relaxing. Feeling the energy of the surrounding people, the sights and sounds as well as the breeze around us. I forgot what it was like and now want to get back into it. They were also giving away free passes for the studio, so I'll go check it out and see how that goes. Now yoga isn't new to me as I have done it in the past but not having touched in for years posed quite a challenge.
This is how it goes: I do stretching every single day even if I do not get a chance to go to the gym. People do not know the importance of it and is more or less overlooked. Stretching has shown to decrease stiffness, improve tone in your muslces, increase flexibility, improve circulation, reduce risk of injury, improve posture, is a relaxation mechanism, and improve muscle efficiency and overall body performance. If you are not stretching, you're pretty much as saying to yourself "I don't want to be better. I'm happy staying where I am." Seeing some of the girls ahead of me bend like a pretzel kinda disgusted me yet made me realize the full potential of the human body. Just like anything...things come in time. For you heard it now, Kimmy is going to be able to bend like a pretzel...err..be more flexible...haha. I did have a goal set for this year (as I stated in a previous post) to be able to do the splits. I am almost there. I'm hovering about 5 or 6 inches off the ground.
Only 5 more months to go.

New Breakfast & Meal 2/3 Experiment
Egg whites, melted dry cottage cheese and a handful of blueberries makes for a little treat in the morning, What do you guys think? Only 280 calories too!!!
I did (attempted) HIIT cardio in the back lane this morning and failed miserably. A muscle in my calf started to hurt. I jogged for a bit hoping to release some tension but alas to no avail. It still hurts. I guess I have to take it a little easier today on the cardio side. The last thing I want right now is an injury, How am I supposed to dance tonight at Republic? You tell me ;)
My "fingers" aka serratus are coming out a bit more. It's moreso on the left side of my body. The other side has some catching up to do. More homework for me...yah (sarcastic).
Fun Fact: Stevia, which is derived from a plant, is the best NATURAL sweetener out on the market and is 300 times the sweetness of sugar. Now available as most grocery stores or health food stores, such as Meyers..."smart buyers shop at Meyers". Thought I would throw that in for you Dave lol. It comes in either liquid droplet form or in packets. It even comes in different flavours too, such as Hazelnut, French Vanilla, Chocolate. Go get yours today. I use it everyday.
Here is another experiment: salmon with black pepper, chili peppers, no salt substitute, PC chipotle sauce, garlic powder and lemon juice baked inside a red bell pepper. It was quite delicious. The seasoning absorbed well into the pepper making it really tasty. Can't wait to eat it again in a couple of hours.
Today is chest & shoulder day today. I love this day also. I believe my shoulders are now one of my best assets. I am also working on building my strength in my chest because really....who wants to see those god-awful skelator bones?
Show of hands anyone???
Yoga in the park tomorrow from 11 am to 1 pm with Charmaine and her buddy. I can't wait. If you're interested, deadline for registration is today and it's $5. I just hope it doesn't rain. Mother Nature, we do not need anymore rain. Please and Thank You.

Hello Again Blogger!!!
Hello Everyone!!! I'm back again for the first time. This time I'm staying put. Foreal Homeboy (if you do not know where that's from look up "bed intruder" on youtube). Anyways, took a little vacation but now back in full force.
My stats: 130-132 lbs with 15-19% body fat. Exercising 6 days a week with a combination of cardiovascular and resistance training. My daily caloric intake is approximately 1200. I eat 6 meals a day every 2 hour and 30 minutes, which includes my post-workout shake. I drink TONS and TONS of water each day. I take the following supplements: multi-vitamin, omega 3 fish oil, calcium magnesium, vitamin d, vitamin c and a fat burner. I get about 6-8 hours of sleep each night.
I have got a lot of requests from friends & family to do a blog of my diet, exercise and my lifestyle. Last year, I initially made this blogger account mainly for myself: to help me through the tough times in my life by jotting my thoughts. But now I want to help others and motivate people. You can check back on what I've done so far since late last year (with pictures too..eww). There were a lot of ups and downs in my life. If you read through my older posts, you will notice the changes I have made in my self-confidence with the vocabulary I use: Depressing to the opposite end of the spectrum to Empowering. So here we go....

More meal experiments...what great fun!!!
Breakfast: This morning I had a fruit flavoured protein pancake with a handful of blueberries. It was quite watery and was kind of hard to go down. I definitely needed to drink some agua after that. Will attempt again.
Meal 2 & 3: pan fried salmon with "No Salt" salt substitute, black pepper, lemon juice, garlic powder. A side of veggies (broccoli) to accompany the meal. This experiment was definitely a successful one.
Meal 4: egg white omelet with garlic spread (Mom's Pantry) and red/green peppers. OMG lemme tell you, this was the best meal yet. It was so good I kept on thinking to myself "yummy...yummy...yummy."
Meal 5: dry cottage cheese concoction (cottage cheese, PB, cinnamon & calorie-free chocolate syrup. not a new experiment but still one of my favourite meals of the day. It is such a treat for me. It's my ice cream. Yah I know I'm saying that dry cottage cheese is like a dessert. You all must think I'm nuts. But I'm nuts and healthy :)

Workout for today was obliques and core. I enjoy this day because I know it's one step closer to getting that 6-pack I've always wanted before my off-season begins (end of October). I did 4 exercises with 4 sets. There was one point in my workout where I got quite jealous and intimidated. There were 2 other girls working out upstairs. One was a bodybuilder (muscles everywhere) and the other was maybe about 80% of what that bodybuilder chick had as in muscles. Me...I'm...maybe 20%. Damn. I'm not saying I want to be a body builder but I want to strive for the best form of myself. It's so weird thinking about it now. When I first started working out, all I wanted to accomplish was to shed the pounds. Now, I know I'm not done yet. I'm not done until I say I am. So many people (aka parents) have been telling me that I don't need to workout anymore because I lost all that weight. But it's not just that. Working out & a healthy lifestyle is a HUGE part of my life now and is something that most people do not understand.
It's me against the world. But I think I'm winning!
